Website Questions

  1. I am searching for "euro" but am getting too many results. I want to see only coins directly related to the Euro. How can I narrow the search?
Use the term "euros" and this will narrow your search.

  2. Am I able to search for products based on their "theme" ?
On the left-hand side of the page, below the "Search" box and button you will see "Search By Category >>". Click on this link to be taken to our Categories page where you can browse various products by theme.

  3. What's the difference between "Available Immediately", "Out of Stock", "Sold Out" and "Available for Pre-order"?
This site offers online ordering, which is made possible through a secure web server. To access this feature, visit the product pages and look for links on each page that read "Add to cart". Each product has one of four different "flags" attached to it:
"Available Immediately" means ECI has the product in stock and can ship it immediately.
"Out of Stock" means we have none in stock at the present time but do expect to get more.
"Sold Out" means we are sold out of the item and do not expect to get any more.
"Available for pre-order" means we do not have the product in stock at this time but that you can make an advance order.

  4. Available for Pre-Order, what is this all about?
From time to time an upcoming coin may be offered for pre-order. If you find a product that is marked "Available for Pre-Order", you may place an order for the item through our online ordering system as usual. You will follow the same procedure as you would if the item was in stock, including entering the desired quantity.* As always, an email confirmation will be sent to the email address you entered, but you will notice that the price of the item is blank. This is because you will not be charged until the pre-ordered item is ready for shipping. Once the pre-ordered item becomes available, we will automatically charge the credit card you provided and ship the order to you.

Further, if your pre-order also includes other in-stock items (marked as "Available Immediately"), we will hold the entire order until the pre-ordered item is available. To ensure items do not sell out while you are waiting, we will place your "in-stock" items aside until the pre-ordered item is ready to go. As above, you will not be charged until the full shipment is ready.

    * Please note: ECI may decide to limit the quantities shipped in order to ensure a fairer distribution of products among all of our customers. We often cannot confirm quantities on pre-ordered items until the item becomes available.

  5. What are "Bonus Points" and how does it all work?
Bonus Points are a rewards program for ECI customers, much like the Frequent Flyer Program is for airlines. Customers accumulate points by purchasing selected products on the Euro Collections website or in the periodic ECI Money catalog. Near the end of each year a Bonus Points redemption catalog is produced and mailed out to customers with at least 2000 Bonus Points in their account. They can then redeem their points for products in the catalog. For more information please go to our Bonus Points Information Page.

  6. The image for a German coin I am looking at shows the wrong Mint Mark, why is this?
Because a coin that is produced by more than one of the Mints only differs by the Mint Mark ("A", "D", "F", "G" or "J"), we will display an image from only one of the Mints. The images are there as a guide, to show you the designs of the coins, along with the placement of the Mint Mark. The actual Mint Mark that will be on the coin depends on the particular edition you order.

  7. I signed up for the newsletter but am not receiving it. What's the problem?
Many email programs have spam filters which unintentionally stop emails that you WANT to receive from getting through. To cure this problem you need to be sure that your email program accepts email coming from info@eurocollections.com.

ECI frequently fills special orders for its customers. Contact us and give us a list of the coins you are looking for and we will endeavor to obtain them. 2. I have a coin and want to know how much it's worth. What should I do?
The value of coins is a function of rarity and condition. Thus, to determine the value of a coin, one cannot do so using email or the telephone. One must be able to see and carefully inspect it. To do this take your coin(s) to a local coin dealer. You can also go to a library and consult a coin catalog for some basic guidance such as "The Standard Catalog of World Coins" published by Krause Publications of Iola, Wisconsin. ECI currently stocks the 2008 Standard Catalog of World Coins DVD.

  5. Payments
If a customer submits invalid or incomplete credit card information, that customer will lose their priority, (first-come, first-served). Once valid and complete credit card information is received any such order will be regarded as a new order. As such it will be processed based on the date when all correct information has been received.
If a customer submits invalid payment more than twice, Euro Collections International may decide that it will no longer conduct business with that person.

  6. Customs Duties

  9. Company Addresses
If you wish to have your order shipped to your work address, you must include the name of the company in the address information. We have had instances where the shipping information included the customer's full name and the correct street address but it was returned as undeliverable because there was no company name and the street address was a large office building with many corporate tenants.
