AP391 - Belarus 2006 20Ru Twelve Months Fairy Tale Silver UNC

Following on from its very successful Fairy Tales series of 2005, Belarus has issued the first in the 2006 series, entitled "Twelve Months." This coin brings together all the months of a year in its design reverse. The reverse is centered on a warmly blazing campfire in the center of the coin and highlighted by a glowing amber zirconium crystal. Around the campfire all symbols of the year: a basket containing of spring snow drops in the upper left corner changes through the seasons in a counter-clockwise direction from left to right to become the harvest of summer grains, the last of the fall blooms and then snowflakes over a wintery landscape on the right side of the design. The obverse of all the coin features in the central design field a young girl and boy, sitting on the moon under a starry sky, reading the open book they are holding in their laps. Above this is the coat of arms of the Republic of Belarus. Underneath their feet is the year of issue 2005. In a semi circle around the top half in Cyrillic, or Russian letters are the words for the Republic of Belarus. Again in Cyrillic letters along the lower edge of the coin are the words for twenty rubles. Each coin is encapsulated and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
