Celebrating the ‘Treasures of Tutankhamen’, this spectacular collection represents an affordable opportunity to journey back in time to the Golden Age of the Pharaohs. Each collection comprises five crown-sized legal tender coins from Somalia. A work of numismatic art, each copper coin has been plated in pure gold, and then hand-enamelled in ‘Egyptian Blue’. Each coin pays homage to one of the treasures found in the Tomb of Tutankhamen in 1922 – the Death Mask, the Statue of Ptah, the Statue of Horus, the Scarab Beetle Necklace and the Udjat Eye (or Eye of Horus). Struck to Proof quality, the set of five legal tender coins is housed in a fitting "Egyptian tomb" case complete with a 190mm statue of the jackal-headed God Anubis and a Certificate of Authenticity.
